Propitious Clouds

In the fifteenth year of Emperor Shun's reign, propitious clouds gathered, as recorded in the "Grand Chronicles of Shang - The Biography of Yu Xia": Talented people gathered, various officials harmoniously sang of the propitious clouds.

The Emperor then led the chant: "The propitious clouds are brilliant, all around, the radiance of the sun and the moon, day after day."

"All around" refers to the swirling and floating state. "Day after day, the same day repeats. The meaning is: auspicious clouds shining brightly, continuous and endless, the brilliance of the sun and the moon everlasting in the world.

After Emperor Shun finished singing the "Propitious Clouds Song," he sighed and said, "Indeed, the world does not belong to just one person."
